2. Summary
PipeForge is a static website. All parts are computed locally in your browser; dimensions, configurations, 3D models you open and generated files are not transmitted to us or to third parties.
We use no cookies, no analytics or tracking tools and no advertising. No content is loaded from third-party servers at runtime (no CDNs, no external fonts).
3. Hosting and server log data
This website is delivered via Cloudflare Workers (static delivery), a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”). When you access the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the requested address, the amount of data transferred, the referrer and browser and operating system information (user agent).
This processing serves to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security (e.g. defending against attacks). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not analyze this data ourselves or combine it with other data.
Cloudflare also processes data in the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply in addition. How long Cloudflare stores the data is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
4. Storage in your browser (localStorage)
To keep your settings, the website stores in your browser's local storage (localStorage): your manually chosen language, your manually chosen color theme (light/dark), your preferred unit (mm/cm/inch, optionally as fractions), your basic settings (type of part and material), the last chosen download format of each download button, your most recently used configuration of each part and the settings of the “Split a model” (cut plane, clips) and “Pipe run” (sections, connections) tools. The opened 3D model itself is not stored.
This data remains exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to us or to third parties. Storing it is strictly necessary for the function you explicitly requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.
5. Computing and exporting parts
Geometry is generated with WebAssembly directly in your browser. The download files (e.g. 3MF, STL, OBJ) are also created locally and saved via your browser's download function. Nothing is uploaded.
If you open your own file (STL, 3MF or OBJ) in the “Split a model” tool, it is only read and split in your browser. It never leaves your device and is only kept in memory for the duration of the session.
Configuration parameters may appear in the page address (URL) so that you can share links and restore earlier values with the back button. When such a link is opened, this information is processed like any address in the server log data (section 3).
6. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your details (email address, content of the message) to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once the request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
You may object at any time to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the member state of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
8. Changes
We update this privacy notice when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
